FAQ
Is Kalda talu a good place for a family holiday?
Families with children are very welcome. There is ample space for the children to play. Even non-swimmers can bathe in the river safely.
Can we bring our pet?
Yes, you may. We have got dog and a tomcat ourselves.
Who is welcome? And who is not?
Anybody is welcome, no matter, what gender, colour, nationality, religion, sexual orientation you belong to, as long as you are interested in others and tolerant. What we don't like: quarrelling, violence, drugs, discriminating behaviour!
Do you serve lunches and dinners?
Sorry, we don't. But we can recommend some good eating places in the vicinity.

Kitchen facilities may be used if agreed upon in advance.
Larger groups can use the outside kitchen. It is equipped with gas cookers and big kettles and pans.

Groups can be catered for in cooperation with a nearby catering service.
What about breakfast?
For B&B guests it's included in the price. Other customers can order it, if they don't prefer to use the self catering facilities provided. We serve breakfast as a full Swedish board.
Do you provide simple, cheap accommodation for young people?
Part of our place is designed as a youth hostel. It's our policy to offer inexpensive accommodation for young travellers all year round.
How do you treat the rubbish?
We are eager to promote the idea of separating it, if we just can't avoid it.
Can we have a barbecue?
Yes, you may. We have got a shed full of firewood. There is a campfire site and there are grills of different sizes. Charcoal is for sale at a small fee. Just bring your own meat, sausages and dressings!
What about the quality of drinking water?
It's pumped up from 70 meters under ground and is especially treated for human consumption.
Is it possible to hold conventions, seminars and meetings at Kalda talu?
Our function room can be rented either on a self-catering or on a full service basis. It is suitable for family reunions, weddings, birthday parties, company outings, etc. Banquets can be arranged in cooperation with a nearby catering service.
For seminars, conferences or training courses it is equipped with all the technology necessary. There is even WiFi access to the Internet.
What is is your special affiliation to scouts and guides?
The owner has been a scout himself in his earlier years and would like to offer chances for younger generations to experience this for themselves. So groups of scouts and guides are very welcome to have their camps, training courses, events ... here.
